The Department of Economics in association with The Department of Commerce, Shift-I, MGC organized a guest lecture on “Entrepreneurial Development” dated 16/12/2021 via Google meet as a platform. The Lecture was given by our Alumnus Mr. Sumith Prakash Founder CEO – GM Global Links Group of Companies, Dubai, UAE. The program started with a welcome address by Esther, III B.Com(G) Student , MGC and introduction of the chief guest was given by Shajin III B.Com(G) Student , MGC .Thereupon the session was started by our resource person. He recounted his personal experience in the field of Entrepreneurship. In his highly motivating talk, he highlighted the various aspects of Entrepreneurship and the skills required for a good entrepreneur.
The session was informative which helped the participants to understand the concepts in an effective manner. The resource person had frequently clarified doubts thus making the session interactive and interesting.
The Department of Economics, Shift-I of Mar Gregorios College of Arts & Science had conducted a guest lecture on “Impact of Covid-19 on Indian Economy Policy Response and Prospects” dated 24/09/2021 using Zoom Meeting as a platform. The resource person was Dr.D.Merlin Juliet who is an Associate Professor in Department of Economics, Madras Christian College. Chennai.
The program was started with a Prayer Song followed by College Anthem. There was a welcome address and introduction of chief guest given by Asst.Professor S.Aruna
The Department of Corporate Secretaryship, Shift-I of Mar Gregorios College of Arts & Science had conducted a guest lecture on “IMPACT OF COVID-19 ON THE INTERNATIONAL MARITIME TRADE” dated 02/11/2021 at Mar Ivanious Hall. The resource person was Dr.P.Anbalagan who is an Associate Professor at Presidency College, Chennai.
The program was started with a welcome address and introduction of chief guest given by Kiruthika .
The session started with basic information regarding International Maritime Trade. Information was disseminated into students in an effective manner.

Mr. Paul Dinakar, Area Sales Manager of Fourrts Laboratories Pvt. Ltd was the guest speaker. Prof. Mary Udayapriya Dominic, Assistant Professor, Department of Economics (Shift – I) was the convenor of the programme.
