EDUCATIONAL TOUR AND INDUSTRIAL VISIT – 19.12.2021 to 22.12.2021
The Department of Commerce C.A, Shift - II was conducted a Education tour and Industrial Visit on 19th December 2021 to 22nd December 2021. The place was Ooty.
On 19th December we started the journey at night by train. We reached on 20th December 2021 Coimbatore by morning. After that we went by bus to the reach the residential area. After finishing the breakfast we all went to visit the Tea factory and the Tea Museum in Dodabetta, Ooty. Students observed the process and enjoyed well. Students were come to know the industrial behaviour and the corporate culture through this Industrial Visit. It helps the students from college to corporate and book to business. After that we went for lunch. Then we started to visit the Government Botanical Garden, Vannarapettai, Ooty. Students well enjoyed the nature and the surroundings. We turned.
On 21st December 2021 after the break fast we visited Shooting Point, Ooty, Pykarawater falls and the Lake. There we went for boating. Students were excited and they were very happy. After the lunch we took bus from Ooty to Coimbatore. Then we got on train to Chennai. 22nd December 2021 morning we reached.

Department of Commerce [C.A] conducted an Intercollegiate competition “COM+F5” on 26th August 2019 in Mar Ivanious Auditorium. The program was started at 9.30 a.m with an invocation song by our Dept choir girls. We had followed the program activity based on the agenda and Mr. A. Sahaya Nixon, Head, Department of Commerce [C.A] proposed welcome address. and REV. FR. PHILIP PULIPRA, Secretary, blessed the gathering.
The Department of Commerce [C.A] conducted a Seminar on “India - The Emerging Global Power” on 19th September 2018. The Chief Guest Dr. C. D. Balaji, Assistant Professor of LIBA gave an exceptional seminar on “The Position of Indian Economy” He instructed the students about the importance and computation of GDP and the ways to identify the current economic scenario like Monetary Policy, Fiscal Policy, CRR and SLR. He also said that the self-esteem and hard work are the powerful tools to make things happen – both in our professional and private lives. He also emphasized Respect for Teachers and Their Roles in Our Life. Furthermore, he spoke on the Essentials of Dollar Value and Its Fluctuation In Global Level.

The program started with the welcome Address delivered by Mr. A. Sahaya Nixon, Assistant Professor, Head, Department of Commerce (CA), Mar Gregorios College of Arts and Science. Prayer delivered by Ms. P. Femina, Assistant Professor, Department of English, Mar Gregorios College of Arts and Science. Follwed by Dr. P. Umaeswari, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce (CA), Mar Gregorios College of Arts and Science welcomed the resource person Dr. P. Prabhu, Assistant Professor, Department of Physical Chemistry, University of Madras.
The resource person Dr. P. Prabhu, Assistant Professor, Department of Physical Chemistry, University of Madras delivered the presentation. It was informative for the Research Scholars and Project Assistance Faculties. The steps of research publication in different articles, journals, conferences are explained by him. He explained how Hiresh index (H-index) and Impact Factor (IF) (or Journal Impact Factor (IF)) are reflect the yearly average number of citations. He delivered the ways of getting the research person articles accepted in various journals. The information delivered by the Resource person was welcomed by the participants.
Nearly 480 teaching faculty members from various Colleges are registered the FDP through Google registration form. In the online Zoom app hundred participants are actively involved. Simultaneously, 70 participants are attended the FDP program through online You Tube Telecast Live. Participant queries were answered at the end of the session by the Expert.

The techniques explained with real time examples used in various fields have been explained in python program. The participants were gained knowledge in this session very much. The session was extremely useful to the all participants. At the end of the session feedback form link distributed in the Chat box. After filling the feedback form the participants received the participation certificates to their registered mail Id.
The program successfully ended with the vote of thanks delivered by Dr. P. Umaeswari, Assistant Professor, BCom(CA).
