The Department of Business Administration, Shift II - have conducted  Inter-DepartmentE-QUIZ on the topic “PROFESSIONAL ETHICS” for our students of both Shift I & II of all disciplines on 20.01.22. 150 students have participated, out of which 55 students who have scored ABOVE 70% and received their E- Certificate through their mail ids.

The Department of Business Administration, Shift 2 organized 5 Days Skill Development Program on the topic “Essential Business Administration Skills - Really Want to be Competent”, conducted through virtual mode from 21.03.22 to 25.03.22 at 9.30 a.m to 11.00 a.m. The Convenor of the program was Dr.I.M.ChristinaFebiula, Head of the Department. This program enabled the students to explore in the essential business skills positively that impact their performance and productivity.  On 21.03.22 and 22.03.22, the resource person Ms. Sweetline, Business Consultant, Strategist and CFRO- SMLA TPLPA, Chennai covered the topic of Time Management, Problem Solving Skills and Social Media Management. On 23.03.22 and 24.03.22, the resource person Mr. Bala, Business Head, Cnergy Incorporation, Chennai covered the topic of Planning and Research Skills and General Administrative Skills. On 25.03.22, the resource person Mr.Sathya Narayanan, Project Engr & Developer, WIPRO Ltd, Chennai covered the topic of Communication & Technology Skills. The students got enlightened in soft skills as well as in hard skills, and the business skills helped them to understand both internal and external factors that influence an organization's growth and profitability as they need to compete in the workplace. There were 78 students from all the years took actively participated.

The Department of Business Administration, shift II, conducted an online webinar on the topic “IPR Myths and Realities” on 05 th March 2022. The Resource person Dr.Balaji Ganesan, Dean(Research), Velammal Engineering College, Chennai. Director, IP EVER LLP, Chennai.

Registered Patent Agent (IN/PA 3081). provided a clear insight on How to file a patent, Basic qualities needed, IPR Myths andRealities and even more. Around 85 students from different departments participated in thewebinar. He interacted with the students and made them to participate enthusiastically. Thesession was highly informative and interesting.

The Department of Business Administration, Shift II has conducted an Add-on-Course from 26th March 2022 to 12th April 2022 on the topic of Personality Development Training/ Enrichment – LeadershipTraining for the students of Department of Business Administration, shift II. The Guest Lecturer Ms. Shruthi Latha, BusinessAnalyst & Life Skill Coach and Certified Trainer from prestigious Indian Institute ofDevelopment. 85 students actively participated in the session. The session helped the studentsto develop knowledge about the most important skills necessary for leading better life likeCommunication competencies, Time Management, Leadership Skill, grooming, Etiquettesetc.

The Department of Business AdministrationOrganised 7 Days Bridge Course Programme on “BASICS IN ACCOUNTING AND FINANCE” by the resource person Dr. C.M.Sudha Mary, Asst Prof. Dept of Management Studies, Saveetha Engineering College, Chennai, from 16^th Sept, 2021 to 23^rd Sept, 2021 for I BBA Students. Students got exploredwith the basic concepts and processes of management, fundamental roles and processes of planning, leading, organizing and controlling that comprise themanagers role. Also, learnt how organizations adapt to an uncertain environment and identify techniques managers use to influence and control the internal environment.

On 04.12.21, the final year students of Business Administration had visited the PARLE PRODUCTS Pvt. Ltd., Madhavaram.,. The Students were guided by Guided by Mr.Raj Paul, HR, Parle Products and accompanied by two of our faculty members.Students had a clear insight on the Manufacturing Process involved, and handling of materials, learnt the maximum utilization of 5 M’softhis organization. Also, Students visited the Raw material testing laboratoryand learnt the concept of Quality Control Process.

The Department of Business Administrationorganised5 days Faculty Development Program on “AWARENESS IN SECURITIES MARKETS” in association with SEBI from 12.10.21 to 16.10.21. The resource personMr. Jeyaprakash Maria Michael, Director of MCUBE Academy, NSE-SEBI approved Trainer for NISM(National Institute of Securities Market) & NSE (National Stock Exchange), handled five interesting topics relevant to securities markets, around 73 Faculty Members from various Colleges and Industrialists from various places of South- India were participated.

• On 25.09.21, Dr.I.M.ChristinaFebiula, Head, Department of Business Administration organised a Guest Lecture on “Campus to Corporate and Personality Traits & Grooming”. The Chief guest Mr. Rajesh Sethuraman, Enterprise Training Lead, Reliance Jio Info Comm Ltd., Take-Aways of this Webinar were: i. Students became aware of different test methods and learn to successfully handle it. ii. Learned the tricks to face and win the crowd elimination rounds such as group discussion and aptitude test. iii. Familiarized with the nuances of interview and learn to succeed in interviews with higher level of confidence. iv. Obtained career guidance by understanding their own abilities in par with competencies expected by the job market. v. Learned to draft a winning resume vii. Understood what corporate expects in terms of etiquette, communication, team work and work ethics.

• On 03.12.21, Dr.I.M.ChristinaFebiula, Head, Department of Business Administration organised a Guest Lecture on “Contemporary Management”. The Chief guest Prof. G.Padmavathy, Asst.Prof, Chennai National Arts & Science College lectured on a process of Contemporary management that involves planning, leading, organizing and controlling operations to achieve organizational goals explained how the Managers at each level of an organization are responsible for using the resources effectively.

• On 10.12.21, Prof. Rajalakshmi, Asst.Prof, Department of Business Administration organised a Guest Lecture on “A brief summary of Inventory Control Techniques”. The Chief guest Dr. P.SyamSundar, Dean, School of Management, KPRCAS, Coimbatore lectured on  various inventory control techniques like ABC Analysis, JIT, HML, VED, SDE, GOLF, FSN, SOS, XYZ, used for manufacturing sectors for managing materials.

On 13.12.21, Dr.I.M.ChristinaFebiula, Head, Department of Business Administration organised a Guest Lecture on “The Impact of Product Planning and Control on Operational Cost of Manufacturing Industries”. The Chief guest Dr. Elaiyaraja, Asst.Prof. St.Thomas College, Chennai lectured the main purpose of production planning and control (PPC) is to establish routes and schedules for the work that will ensure the optimum utilization of materials, workers, and machines and to provide the means for ensuring the operation of the plant in accordance with these plans..

• On 14.12.21, Prof.M. Ramu, Asst.Prof, Department of Business Administration organised a Guest Lecture on “General Outlook on Regression Analysis”. The Chief guest Prof. D. Jayasri, Asst.Prof., St.Peter’s College of Engineering & Technology lectured on Regression analysis and its method of mathematically sorting out the variables and explained on how it helps for a manufacturing industries.

• On 16.12.21, Prof. Rajalakshmi, Asst.Prof, Department of Business Administration organised a Guest Lecture on “Advanced Statistical tools in Research Methodology- An Overview”. The Chief guest Dr.C.Kala, Asst.Prof. St.Thomas College, Chennai lectured on statistical tools used in Research methodology like ANOVA, Chi-square, F-Test, Z-Test, Regression and Correlation.

• On 10.01.22, Prof. Senthilmurugan, Asst.Prof, Department of Business Administration organised a Guest Lecture on “Brand Management: Techniques & Approaches in the Era of Sustainability”. The Chief guest Dr. S. Kumari, Head &Asst.Prof., Dept. of Business Administration, Ponnuswamy Nadar College of Arts & Science, Chennai lectured on evaluation of brands, and their relationships with consumers, how to create brand equity and the tools required to manage equity over time

• On 25.01.22, Prof. Senthilmurugan, Asst.Prof, Department of Business Administration organised a Guest Lecture on “Final Accounts Partnership Firms”. The Chief guest Dr. S.Gomathy,Asst.Prof. Dept. of Business Administration St.Thomas College, Chennai lectured on how toIdentify the difference between different accounting treatments for a new partner admission and an old partner retirement.( knowledge and understanding), Analyze and interpret information from a variety of sources relevant to corporation and partnership accounting. (intellectual skills),Analyze and interpret partnership accounting problems such as formation and admission, retirement and liquidation. (professional and practical skills)

Sabareesh,MBA, TIPS Academy, Mogappair, Chennai gave a thought provoking and motivational speech to the students followed by the next Chief Guest Mr.N.Mahesh, MBA, Fun Whistle Tourism Pvt, Ltd.,Kilpauk, Chennai delivered a speech to the students about his success as an entrepreneur. Various On stage-events and Off-stage events were conducted. Students from various colleges like Anna Adarsh College for Women, St. Thomas College, The New College were actively participated. Finally, the overall championship trophy of “The Best Manager Award” was won by Anna Adarsh College for Women.

There were 120 Students of UG & PG from various colleges like Anna Adarsh College for Women, St. Thomas College, The New College, Dr.MGR University etc., were actively participated in all the events. The overall championship trophy and “The Best Manager Award” was won by Dr.M.G.R.University, Maduravoyal.

Various On Stage-Events like Corporate Walk, Ad-zap, Quiz, Connection, Best Manager and Off-Stage Events like Paper Presentation, Decision making, Product Selling were conducted by the Students of Business Administration(Shift II) for the participants of outside colleges. There were 120 Students of UG & PG from various colleges like Anna Adarsh College for Women, St. Thomas College, The New College, Dr.MGR University etc., were actively participated in all the events. The overall championship trophy and “The Best Manager Award” was won by Dr.M.G.R.University, Maduravoyal.

Various competitions On Stage-Events like Corporate Walk, Ad-zap, Quiz, Connection, Best Manager and Off-Stage Events like Paper Presentation, Decision making, Product Selling were conducted by the Students of Business Administration (Shift II) for the participants of outside colleges. The Chief guest was Dr. V. Saravanan, AP, Dept of Business Administration, Sri Muthu Kumaran College of Arts & Science, Chennai . 110 students from various colleges took participation. To motivate the students, Cash Rewards were given for the first and the second prize winners of all events and medals were also provided.

Prof, Department of Business Administration, organized a Seminar on “DIGITAL MARKETING”. The program Chief guest Mr.Premnath, MBA, Signitiv Consultancy and Academy, T Nagar, Chennai explained the concept of Digital Marketing, its classification and focused on online marketing mainly Search Engine Optimization, Search Engine Marketing, Content Marketing and Social Media Marketing.

On 24th September 2018, Dr.Ms.I.M.Christina Febiula, Asst. Prof, Department of Business Administration conducted a Guest Lecture on “INTRODUCTION TO MARKET STRUCTURE”. The Chief guest Mrs. R. Anuradha Head, Department of Business Administration, Chennai National College, Avadi lectured on the characteristics of a market, types of the market structure and also listed the market share of the few existing firms of the industry.
