The Department of Commerce Corporate secretaryship organized a National webinar stock market success formula on 3^rd June 2020 at 11.00 a.m.with the guest speaker Mr. Ganesan, Managing Director of YMM wealth Management Pvt. Ltd .The participants actively registeredfrom different parts of  India like Allahabad, Etawah(UP) ,Mumbai,Hyderabad, Lucknow,Great Noida etc. and one from Muscat which counted to 512. The registered participant received the information regarding the webinar link through WhatsApp and emails.

The Webinar started with the college Promo at 10.30 a.m. and then an overview and prayer was made by our Vice Principal Mrs Ann Hepzibah Niraja followed with an introduction about the guest speaker by the Head of the department Ms.P.LavanyaDevi. The Webinar was organized and hosted by Asst. Professor. Mrs.P.Dora Junita Ratnapriya. The webinar was broadcasted live through YouTube channel.The feedback was received from 214 participants.

Our department conducted a “Live online Quiz” on  26-9-2020 at 10.a.m through the platform google meet with an intention to expand the knowledge and to explore the new skills of our student in this Technical era during this pandemic  Covid19.The programme started with the prayers to the God almighty by our respected Vice principal Ms.Ann HepzibahNiraja followed by Tamil thaivazthu and College anthem .The program was presided by our third year student Mr. Roshan Baskar and the welcome address was delivered by Ms.Prabavathy.B of second year. The quiz was began by our quiz master Asst.Prof.Ms.P.DoraJunitaRatnapriyawith the contestant of each team.The rules of the quiz competition was announced.The six teams were Intangibles, Accountables, Tickers, Journal Jogglers, Cash Cows and bean counters with two participants from each team.We had the final year and secondyear students of our department as audience.

The quiz consisted three rounds with general Knowledge and Logical reasoning in round I, Identification of Accounting terms ,Logo and Taglines from the Pictures in round II and Decision Making in round III.All the teams were well prepared and participated enthusiastically.The competition was tough but in the end the most exciting and thrilling battle was won by Tickers .The second position was achieved by Cash cows and the third position was grabbed by Intangibles. The vote of thanks was deliver by Asst.profR.Vijayalakshimi of our department. It was very informative and knowledge enriching competition for the participants along with the audience.

The Department of Corporate Secretaryship, Shift-I of Mar Gregorios College of Arts & Science had conducted a guest lecture on  “SECURITIES LAW & MARKET OPERATIONS” dated 02/11/2021 using Zoom Meeting as a platform. The resource person was Dr.K.Moneesh Kumar who is an Assistant Professor at D.G. Vaishnav College.

The program was started with a Prayer Song followed by College Anthem. There was a welcome address and introduction of chief guest given by Asst.Prof Mohamed Arshad Ahamed M.

The session started with basic information regarding intial public offer and gradually practical insight was provided to students by usage of SEBI portal by the resource person.

The session was informative with real companies examples of IPO listing in SEBI portal which helped the participants to understand the concepts in an effective manner. The resource person had frequently clarified doubts thus making the session interactive.

The students of B.Com Corporate Department Shift I of Mar Gregorios College were given opportunity for MC (Kiruthika) and Vote of Thanks (Sruthy).

The Department of Corporate Secretaryship, Shift-I, Mar Gregorios College of Arts & Science  conducted “CORP SHOP” dated 10/03/2022 at Mar Ivanios Hall. The main objective of this event was to give an oppurtunity to the students to develop their entrepreneurial skills and also potray their creative skills.

Students were given the oppurtunity to setup stalls and sell their products to other students. They were twenty five stalls set up by the students and the program was attended by more than 500 students from various departments. They were variety of products sold by the students including food items (chats,sweets,juices,fruit salads & birnji rice), electronic equipments (speakers, mobile stands, chargers) and activity based games (Ring the gift).

The experience brought the team spirit, marketing, and finance skills and also a sense of money management skills among students. Many students gained confidence to start their own business. Principal Dr.M. Sivarajan, Vice Principal Dr.G. Gayathry, IQAC Coordinator Asst.Prof S.Shanta and Asst.Prof P.Lavanya Devi, Head of Department of Corporate Secretaryship facilitated the gathering. The staff of the Corporate Department ensured and maintained discipline throughout the program. The event received a sense of appreciation  from various departments and became a grand successful one.

The Department of Corporate Secretaryship, Shift-I of Mar Gregorios College of Arts & Science had conducted a guest lecture on  “HANDS-ON EXCEL TRAINING” dated 28/01/2022 using Zoom Meeting as a platform. The resource person was Dr.S.Pramila  who is an Assistant Professor at Christ University Delhi NCR.

A National webinar on stock market success formula was organised on 3^rd June 2020. With the guest speaker Mr. Ganesan, Managing Director of YMM wealth Management Pvt. Ltd .

CORSA – Department of Corporate Secretaryship Students Association was conducted workshop on 29^th August, 2019 at Mar Ivanious Hall, between  9.30 a.m and 1.00 p.m.

The event started with the prayer song by the CORSA Choir. Followed by the lighting of the kuthuvilaku by the Sect, Rev Fr PHILIP PULIPRA, Principal Dr.Sivarajan, Vice Principal Ms.Ann Hepzibha Niraja, Chief Guest Ms. Sanka Indrani, Head of the department Ms. P. Lavanya Devi and the Student office bearers. The welcome address was given by the elected office bearer Ms.Amrin. The vision and mission of CORSA was thumbed through by Ms.Dharshee, Our secretary Fr. Rev. Philip Pulipra blessed the Students and the presidential address given by Our Principal Dr. Sivararan. The head of the department Ms. P. Lavanya Devi enlighten the achievement of Department and faculty of Dr. V.Gunasekaran.

CORSA -Corporate Secretaryship Students Association, department of corporate secretaryship conducted its departmentfestival this year as an inter - colligate department. This year’s themewas “Grand Ocho fest 2018”, which was selected by the students to remark the “Eighth anniversary” of CORSA. “Ocho” means “Number Eight” in Spanish. The department festival of this academic year was conducted on the 19^th of September 2018.

The “Corpshop 2018” took place on the 24^th of August 2018, it is a regularly conducted every year by the department of Corporate Secretaryship. This event gives an opportunity to the students of the department to develop their entrepreneurial skills. It is also an opportunity for the students to gain practical knowledge over the subject Entrepreneurial development. Our students put up    various stalls such as lemonade stall, milkshake stall, fruit juices, handmade games, homemade snacks, handmade jewelry, mobile accessories etc.

Cluster fest event was held on 23^rd September 2017 to create a platform for students to understand application based learning and using their knowledge on practical levels. It facilitates the students to demonstrate an array of talents bringing out their creativity in the application of academic knowledge.

The programme was inaugurated by the principal. He emphasized on the importance of hard work and application based learning in the present day along with the importance of self-belief. By providing various examples, he urged the students to cultivate the healthy habit of thinking and creating for that is what the world is demanding outside.

We had organized CORP-SHOP on an event to develop the student’s Entrepreneurial skill on 23^rd August 2016.  Our department celebrated HEXA FEST 2K16 an intercollegiate competitions, which was hosted by Mr.R.Suresh Kumar, Founder & CEO of Vignesh Machine Tools, who excel in his entrepreneurial skills.  Students were highly benefited by inspiring speech.  The inaugural session extended with various on-stage and off-stage events, among 27 colleges, Loyola College was crowned as over all champions.
